Glenn Coyle passed away May 15, 2020
He was born in Tracy, MN on June 23, 1933 to Harold & Ethel (Anderson) Coyle. He was raised and attended school in Garvin, MN.  He Graduated in 1952 from Tracy High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1953 and was then stationed in Fussen Germany. He finished his service as an ordinance training instructor in 1956.  He returned to Minnesota and attend South Dakota State University graduating in 1960 with a bachelor's degree in Business administration.  He married Barbara Filkins on June 10, 1957.  They moved to Bloomington, MN in 1960 where Glenn started his career as a Revenue Officer with the Internal Revenue Service in the Minneapolis Office. He transferred to the Duluth Office of the IRS in 1961 where he stayed until his retirement in 1988.  They purchased their first home in the Woodland neighborhood of Duluth in 1962 and remained there to raise their three children.  His retirement was short as he returned to work in 1990. He became a Security Guard. His assignments included escorting prisoners from the Federal Prison to medical appointments and hospitals in Duluth. Later he worked weekend security at Diamond Brands Factory in Cloquet.  He began his second retirement in 1996.  
He was a member of Glen Avon Presbyterian Church where over the years he served as an elder, deacon and trustee.
Glenn enjoyed travel, making wine, fishing and spending time with family at their cabin on Eagle Lake in Cromwell. He had a gentle soul a giving heart and a loyal spirit. He was a loving husband, father and friend. He seemed to have a story or joke that fit every occasion.
Glenn is preceded in Death by his Parents Ethel and Harold, Brothers Francis, George-Donald, Robert, Maurice and Sister Betty Clark.  Son Brian Coyle.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 63 years Barbara, Son Kevin Coyle (Debbie) of Rochester, MN, Daughter Melinda King (Mike) of Superior, WI.   Grandchildren: Amanda Peaslee (Mark) of Wenatchee, WA, Jacob Coyle of Proctor, Sarah Coyle of Duluth, Jason Coyle of Rochester and Ailie King of Superior, WI. Great Grandchildren Otto, Britta and Odin Peaslee of Wenatchee, WA.  His oldest sister Isabel Salmons of Ojai, CA.  Many Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.  

His family will honor him at Glen Avon Presbyterian Memorial Garden. A celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
