TRACY -- Services for Ethel M. Coyle, 93, of Tracy will be at 10:30 a.m. today at First Congregational Church in Garvin. Burial will be in the Tracy Cemetery. There will be visitation at the church one hour prior to services.
Mrs. Coyle died Tuesday at the Christian Manor Nursing Home in Tracy.
She was born Nov. 10, 1895, in Tracy to Emil and Emma (Swanson) Anderson. She was baptized into the Lutheran faith and was confirmed at Bethel Swede Church near Lake Sarah. Harold Coyle and she were married May 8, 1918, in Garvin. In 1918, she joined the Congregational Church. For many years, she resided at Centennial Homes in Tracy. Since January, she had resided at the Christian Manor Nursing Home. She was a member of the Tracy Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary and the Garvin American Legion Auxiliary. For many years, she was a member of her church's choir. She was an organizer of the Pegaway Club in Garvin. Her hobbies included collecting salt and pepper shakers and making quilts.
Survivors include sons, George Donald of Cocoa, Fla., Glenn of Duluth and Robert of Tracy; a daughter, Isabel (Mrs. Connard) Salmons of Weldon, Calif.; 29 grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather, her husband, two sisters, six brothers, three daughters and three sons.
The Butson-Jacobson Funeral Home in Tracy is in charge of arrangements.
