BROWN - Mrs. Cora B. Brown, 86, of 956 Barlow St., passed away Thursday morning [1 Jun 1972] at home after a brief illness.

Surviving are four sons, Lloyd Thayer of Ann Arbor, Shirl Thayer of Central Lake, Edwin Thayer of Pocatello, Idaho, and Don Thayer of Mayfield; five daughters, Mrs. Eino Jarvie of Rudyard, Mrs. Walter Jarvie of Brimley, Mrs. James (Kate) Bedell of Kings Hill, Ark., Mrs. George (Dorothy) Wilson and Mrs. Don (Dawn) Farris of Traverse City; a sister, Mrs. Albert Blossie of East Jordan; 36 grandchildren, and 68 great-grandchildren.

Her husband, parents, and a son, Melvin preceded her in death. Mrs. Brown was born Nov. 30, 1885 in Tustin Mich., the daughter of Frank and Catherine [Cathrun] Wollcott. She had been a previous resident of Bellaire and came to Traverse City from Pocatello in 1958. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Matthew-Learned Funeral Home in Bellaire with Rev. William Des Autels of United Methodist Church officiating.

Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Bellaire.
