Roger Keith West
August 28, 1941 - May 29, 2020

Roger Keith West, age 78 of Lynch Station died Friday, May 29, 2020 at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.

Born August 28 1941 in Campbell County, he was a son of the late Charles Hensley “Pete” West and Stella McCoy West.

Mr. West was a member of Lynch Station Baptist Church and was a retired rural mail carrier for the United States Postal Service. Mr. West worked on several pit crews on the NASCAR Circuit. He was an amazing mechanic; and he enjoyed fixing and building things, going to Leesville Lake, and farming.

He is survived by his wife, Joan Hughes West of the residence; two sons, Mel West of Lynch Station and Troy West of Lynch Station; one sister, Doris Whitlock; and two grandchildren, Tyler West, and Brynnlee West.

Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery by Pastor Scott Doran. Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, Gretna is assisting the family.
