Caroline Christensen Cloninger Lemonds of Charlotte passed on May 27, 2020. Caroline was born on June 13, 1932, on Woodlawn Road in Charlotte, NC. Caroline graduated from H.P. Harding High School in 1950 where she sang in the choir and was in the marching band, then a member of HHSAA, class of 50. She worked at BC&H Co. in Matthews in inside sales retiring in 1994 after 21 years. Later she worked at Myers Park Country Club and retired after 14 years. She was widowed twice. She was a member of Blair Road Methodist Church, and was in the Chancel Choir and Gensis Sunday School Class. She lived at Royal Park of Matthews since 2015. Caroline enjoyed eating out, cruises, angels and her friends from church, especially her dear friend Sheryl Jones.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Bleeka Little Christensen, Halver Emil Christensen, husband Fred Dowell Cloninger, Sr., husband Thomas Bradley Lemonds, daughters Cynthia Lynn Alexander and Linda Caroline Alexander, and her siblings Clifford, Paul, Carl, Hans, Jack, Doris and Dorothy. She is survived by her only remaining sibling, Clayton Christensen of Southport, NC, several nieces and nephews, and stepdaughter, Teresa Broome.
The family would like to thank the dedicated staff of Royal Park, especially Tanya Rorie, for the excellent care they have provided for Caroline.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at Blair Road Methodist Church.
