January 13, 1946 ~ May 25, 2020 (age 74)

Jessie Lee “Gee” Jackson, the eleventh child, was born January 13, 1946, to proud parents, Earnest and Julia Jackson.

Jessie accepted Christ and was baptized when he was twelve years of age. Although Jessie did not attend church often, he expressed his Christianity through his love for God and everyone.

Jessie attended Thomastown High School. Jessie moved to Los Angeles, California, seeking a better life. He was employed with Pacific Outdoor Billboard until his retirement.

Jessie relocated to Tallulah, Louisiana, and became employed with Brock Energy for 15 years. Jessie loved his family, his children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He would support them all any way possible.

Jessie enjoyed life to the fullest. He traveled, partied, and entertained family and friends.

Jessie and his friend Otis were inseparable. Otis accepted Jessie and his family as an extended family. Jessie was very independent. He did not reveal his illness to everyone in the family until near the end. He did not want to burden them.

Jessie was preceded in death by his son, Patrick; stepdaughter, Lisa; parents, Earnest and Julia; two sisters, Carrie and Ruby; four brothers, Willie, Ben, Lonnie and Alvin.

Jessie leaves to cherish his loving memory: three daughters, Angela, Traci, and Jas’Lyn; three sons, WL Kirkland, Jr., Dionta Nash and Paco Mason; ten grandchildren, Denin, J’Boria, Aaron, Erin, Jaydon, Ariyah, Kenndi, Tynisha, Destiny, and Linda; two brothers, Ernest and Artram of Los Angeles, CA; four sisters, Mildred of Los Angeles, CA, Edna of Las Vegas, NV, Julia of Los Angeles, CA, and Georgia of Austin, TX; four special nieces, Jacqueline, Cassandra, Christtee and LaWanna; many other nieces, nephews, and cousins; special brothers, Otis (Geraldine), and Fred; and a devoted companion of 27 years Ms. Naomi Nash of Monroe, LA.

In loving memory of Jessie Lee Jackson…and think of him as living on in the hearts of those he touched, for nothing loved is ever lost, and he was loved so much.
