Earl Jefferson Shelton, Jr., age 82 of Gretna died Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at Autumn Care of Altavista.
Born July 31, 1937 in Pittsylvania County, he was a son of the late Earl Jefferson Shelton, Sr. and Sallie Wilson Shelton.
Mr. Shelton retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company after 33 years. He enjoyed farming, horses, and his dogs and cats.
He is survived by his wife, Margie Inge Shelton of the residence; one son, Jeffrey “Jeff” Shelton of Gretna; one daughter, Darlene Ramsey and husband, Kenneth of Gretna; one sister, Reba Bass of Clarksville; and two grandchildren, Angela Dawn Shelton of Gretna and Aaron Shelton of Gretna.
Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 30, 2020 at Gretna Burial Park by Rev. Lynn Marstin. Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, Gretna is assisting the family.
