Sanders, Virginia "Ginny" Frances Hester,

was the 11th of 13 children born to the late John William Hester and Frances Elizabeth Childress Hester.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Elmer Dean Sanders; siblings, infants Margie and Lorrine; Hubert, Herbert, Hurshel, Emma, Evelyn and Gene and sister in-law Vera Sanders Kreutzer (Elmer). Surviving are her three children, Brenda Sanders Gross (Danny), Timothy Dean Sanders (Sue), Teresa Sanders Ormes (Patrick), grandchildren, Brian Gross, Tamara Gross Stanfield, Rebecca Gross Gore, Christopher Sanders, Morgan Sanders, three great-grandchildren, McKinley Gore, Kate Stanfield and Marley Ann Gore; siblings, J. B. Hester, Lewis Hester, Kerrin Hester and Carolyn Moore; as well as a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Virginia was a member of Fairdale United Baptist Church, Fairdale, Kentucky. She was a member of Lebanon Junction Chapter No. 72, Order of the Eastern Star. Music was the fabric woven throughout Virginia's family (Hester) from a child throughout her life. Many of Virginia's siblings and immediate family are accomplished musicians and singers locally. Virginia had the God given talent to play beautifully by ear and loved to sing. After retiring from General Electric, Virginia devoted her time to family, Eastern Star and her passion for genealogy.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction with Bro. Monty Hester officiating. Burial will follow in Brookland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Thursday, April 27, 2017, 1-8 p.m. Friday, April 28, 2017, with an Order Of The Eastern Star Service at 6:30 p.m. and after 9 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Kappel Funeral Home in Lebanon Junction is in charge of the arrangements.
