HESTER, HUBERT LEE, 88, of Shepherdsville, passed away Friday, November 25, 2005, at Norton Audubon Hospital. He was a native of Edmonson, KY, retired from L&N railroad and an Army veteran of World War II, where he received a Purple Heart.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorotha Hester; parents, John and Frances Hester; brother, Hurshel Hester; and sisters, Lorraine and Margie Hester.

He is survived by daughters, Donna Williamson, Betty Meisner and Myrna Parsley; son, Dwane "Hoot" Hester; sisters, Mickey Murray, Evelyn Wacker, Virgina Sanders, and Carolyn Moore; brothers, Hebert, J.B., Lewis, Kerrin, and Gene Hester; 11 grandchildren ; and four great-grand-children.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday at family owned Scharrer-Hardy-Close Funeral with burial in Brookland Cemetery. Visitations will be 2-8 p.m. Saturday and 1-8 p.m. Sunday.
