Mary Carol Woodbury Pollock said goodbye to her earthly family on May 24, 2020, to join those on the other side of the veil. She has been cherished for 94 years on this earth; she is now in the embrace of her husband, Donald Jack Pollock. Also preceding her is her beloved mother, her father, brothers: Clare, Clayton, and Richard Woodbury; and her sisters, Helen Beatty and Irene Pollock.

Carol is survived by her three children: Maureen Jensen (Bob), Jacque Reynolds (Dave), and her exceptional son, Randy Pollock, who lived with Carol and took care of her every need, especially as her body grew weak, during her difficult final years. She loved all of her family! In addition to her three children, Carol has 10 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 21 great, great grandchildren (with another one due this October). She is also survived by her sister, Lorraine Woodbury, and her sister-in-law, Marrianne Woodbury.

Carol was born on December 24, 1925, to Harriet Arvilla and Arthur Hartley Woodbury, in Cedar City, Utah. She married Donald Jack Pollock in June 1946.

She entertained family and friends with her intelligence and sense of humor. She discovered art as a young girl and her sketches are a beautiful reminder of her talent. Carol taught herself to play the piano and enjoyed music. Jack was always happy to take Carol out dancing as he had the prettiest partner on the dance floor. During WWII, Carol worked in the aircraft industry as a riveter. She only worked out of the home for a brief time, feeling that her place was with her growing family.

Carol and Jack and their three children opened up a craft business and traveled together sharing their beautiful treasures. Carol was a brilliant seamstress and created beautiful clothing, gowns, costumes and wedding dresses.

Carol lived in Orem for most of her adult life. After Jack’s passing, she and Randy bought a home in Mount Pleasant, Utah, to be nearer to one of her grandsons, Mike Price. Carol welcomed everyone who came into her home. Her home was always filled with wonderful scents of freshly baked bread, cakes, cookies, and sauces. It was a delight to the senses of her regular visitors who always left with bread, cookies, bottled peaches, or jams.

Carol was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was able to share her love of her Savior with many primary children, young women, and the relief society sisters. She also served as a visiting teacher in the Orem 2nd Ward. Carol and her three children were sealed to Jack in the Provo Utah Temple.

Special thanks to Mike Price for always looking out for mom while residing in Mount Pleasant; to her two neighbors, Pat and Bob World, who were willing to help whenever mom needed it; and to her wonderful home healthcare nurses for taking such good care of our mother.

Visitation for family and friends will be Thursday, May 28, 2020, from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at Walker Funeral Home, 187 South Main Street, Spanish Fork, Utah 84660. Following the visitation, there will be a graveside service, at 11:00 a.m., at Orem City Cemetery.
