This is my 5th great-uncle. Not sure where he is in 1870 so far. In 1878 he was admitted to the Hawthorne Asylum for dementia, and he died in the state asylum in 1888. I have the commitment papers.
His commitment papers say that he was married at some point and had two children.
One had died before 1878 and the other was still alive in 1878 and born in 1848 or so.
