Mrs. Elsie Limmer Dies July 12
Elsie Limmer, 91 died Tuesday, July 12, 1983 in the Edgar B. Davis Hospital in Luling. Funeral services were held Thursday, July 14 at 1:30 p.m. from the Kingsbury Lutheran Church. Burial was held in Neiderwald, Texas under the direction of O'Bannon Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Roy Hebbe, LeRoy Wuensche, Jimmy Limmer, Gary Stautzenburger, Wesley Calecack, and Herman Hebbe.
Survivors include six daughters, Mrs. Emma Smith, Mrs. Frieda Wuensche, Mrs. Elizabeth Rithcie, mrs. Ruby Mercer, Mrs. Marjorie Limmer, Mrs. Barbara Crowley; three sons, Herman August Limmer, Paul George Limmer, August (Buck) Limmer, 50 grandchildren, 86 great grandchildren, 6 great great granchildren,
Mrs. Limmer was born in Walburg, Tx. on May 24, 1982. She was the daughter of William Schier and Augusta Dossman. She was later married to August Limmer on December 10, 1910. She was a housewife and a member of the Kingsburg Lutheran Church.


Limmer Celebrates 88th birthday
Mrs. Elsie Limmer celebrated her 88th birthday on May 25th at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Billie Staton.
Barbecue with all hte trimmings was served. There were two birthday cakes both int he shape of an "88". One cake was baked by Melinda Wilhelm of Lockhart and the other one by Beverly Hortueick of Luling, both friends of the family.
Mrs. Limmer had 12 children with seven still living. The ones attending this celebration were: Mrs. Elizabeth Ritchie of Luling, Mrs. Barbara Crawley and husband of New Brunsfels, Herman Limer and wife of Seguin, August Limmer, Jr. and wife of Kingsbury. The grandchildren present were Mrs. Billie Staton and husband, Mrs. Faye Carley and husband, Daniel and Mike Sherry, Judy Humme and Deborah Powell of Luling, Diane, Anita and Augusta of Kingsbury, Jerry Sherry and wife of Dale, Janie Wilhelm of Lockhart. the great-grandchildren present were Sherrie Robinson, Robert Ritchir, Derrick Staton, Deborah Sherry of Luling, Brenda Harrison of Lockhart, Martha and Alisha Sherry of Dale.
THere were also friends from Lockhart, Luling, Lytton Springs, San Marcos, and Austin.
