The funeral for Douglas E. Davidson, 48, Idaho County road supervisor, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Clearwater Valley High School gymnasium with the Rev. Fred Emery officiating.

Burial will be at the Pine Grove Cemetery.

Davidson died Sunday at Clearwater Valley Hospital at Orofino after suffering a heart attack at his hunting camp east of Kamiah.

He was born Aug. 23, 1948, to Edwin C. and Ruth M. Haight Davidson at Coulee Dam, Wash. His father worked in construction, so the family moved around when he was young. He lived at several places in Washington and California. They settled at Roosevelt, Wash., in 1962, and he graduated from Goldendale (Wash.) High School in 1968.

He married Raora Hughes Sept. 20, 1969, at Arlington, Ore. They lived at Kooskia, where he worked for the Shearer Lumber Co.

He went to work for the Idaho County Road Department in 1973. He was a general equipment operator, rock crusher foreman and transport operator. He became supervisor of the department in 1989. They moved to Kamiah in 1975.

He was president of the Idaho Association of County Road Engineers and Supervisors, the Kamiah Valley TV Association and the Valley Promenaders. He was "cuer" for the Valley Promenaders and Mountain Dew-ers. He attended the Kamiah Bible Church

He enjoyed hunting, computers, electronics and square dancing.

Survivors in addition to his wife of Kamiah are a son, Ronald Davidson of Coeur d'Alene; his mother, Ruth Davidson of Goldendale; a brother, Daniel Davidson of Goldendale; three sisters, Naomi Hampton of Twin Falls, Barbara Coleman of Fort Lewis, Wash., and Pamela Jussila of Goldendale; and a grandson.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
