Bernice (Bea) Swarthout, 67, went home to be with the Lord Saturday, August
18th 2007 in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Bernice was born November 14, 1939 in Taylor, Florida. Her parents were
Jesse and Creasie Murphy Bennett. They both preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker. She enjoyed caring for her husband, children, and grandchildren.
Surviving her is her husband William (Billy) Swarthout of the home in Marshall, two sons; Steve Wayne Harvey of Mt Pleasant, Mississippi, and Gary W. Vail of Crowley, Louisiana. She had three daughters; Pamela Sue Harvey of Stark,
Florida, Ranilla Sue Doucet of Iota, Louisiana, and Kathleen Margaret Guidry of Eunice , Louisiana. Two brothers also survive. They are James Bennett and Allen Bennett both of Florida. She had seventeen grandchildren and five great
grandchildren.
Her visitation in Marshall will be Monday 6-8 PM at Roller Coffman Funeral Home.
A service for Mrs. Swarthout will be Thursday August 23 at Martin & Castille
Chapel in Lafayette, Louisiana. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in
Lafayette by Martin & Castille Funeral Home.
