This is the inscription on the bottom front of the stone:

"Our father has gone to a Mansion of rest, To the Glorious land by the deity blest."

Ephraim Palmer was the husband of Esther Sear Lewis who is buried in Sterling Cemetery in Blue Earth Co., MN. He was a pioneer of the Spokane area after moving there from Blue Earth Co., MN, and Knox Co., IL. He was the son of Bedah Sophia Griffith and Gilbert Palmer Sr. and grandson of Reuben Palmer and Bertha McWithey.
