Son of William R Hadley and Elizabeth Helm.

He was married three times per his obit. First wife was Willmenia Miller born 1829 in Russell County. They married on Oct 6, 1853. He and Mary L Hadley (b 1837) married Dec 18, 1855 in Russell County. Her name on marriage license was already Hadley. He and Mary Neat married on Feb 15, 1877. Willimina married Riley Keeton on Jun 21, 1859 in Russell County. She was the daughter of Adam Miller.

Children with Mary L Hadley:

Silas Hadley 1855 to 1924, buried here.

Dicey Ann Rooks, 1858 to 1907, buried in Redmon Cemetery. Married Lafayette Rooks.

William H Hadley born 1864, only appears on the 1870 census.

Elizabeth J Hadley born 1866 was living with her sister Dicey on the 1880 census. Nothing after that.

Children with Mary Neat:

James W Hadley born about 1876 is listed as his stepson on the 1880 census. I don't know if that is an error or what. It may be because Logan Frank is listed twice, once at 5 months old and once as 1 year old. He's listed as a son. I have to wonder if this is the James William Hadley that is buried in Free Union with the wrong birth year on his stone. That one's dc didn't know who parents were on it.

Logan Frank Hadley 1878 to 1932, buried here.

Thomas Frazier Hadley 1879 to 1959, buried in Redmon Cemetery.

Allen Hadley 1881 to 1964, buried here.

*Annie Morgan, born Dec 20, 1883 died Jan 25, 1911 in Cumberland County while visiting her grandfather and brought back here to be buried in Bart Blakey's cemetery. This is probably the Blakey Cemetery in Russell County. Her dc said she died of an intestinal obstruction. An item in the local paper said she was the daughter of Anderson Hadley. She married J T Cook in 1895. I don't know if they mean this Anderson or not since she wasn't on the 1900 census with the rest of the family. Of course her dc didn't list parents.

Mollie Judd 1884 to 1916, buried here.
