He was born in Yadkinville, NC on November 12, 1933 to Felix Monroe and Elsie Lee (Crouse) Edwards.
He was the husband of the late Eva Gray Edwards.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving his country during the Korean War.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by grandson, Dalton Edwards, brothers, Lonnie and Bob Edwards, and sisters, Myrtle Beaman and Irene Kitts.
Mr. Edwards is survived by two sons, Lee Edwards (Darlene) and Allen Edwards (Donna); daughter, Pam Hopkins (Mike); five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and sister, Gelene Haulsey.
