MYRTLE MAE BEAMAN, age 86, of Jarrettsville, MC, died on August 4, 2007 at her home. Born in Sparta, NC, she was the daughter of the late Felix and Elsie Mae Crouse Edwards and wife of the late Ted Roosevelt Beaman. She had previously worked at a nursing home in Yakinville, NC and enjoyed making quilts, gardening, and feeding birds. She stayed busy with her large family. Mrs. Beaman is survived by her children Dorothy Mae Crouse of Galax, VA, Lillian Lee Crowe and husband, Stephen, of Airville, PA, Elsie Ann Billings and husband, Maynard, of Traphill, NC, Betty rose Petty and husband, Mike, of Chesnee, SC, Nancy Carol Billings and husband, Frank, of Traphill, NC, Lilly Marie Bell and husband, Steve, of Jarrettsville, MC, Teddy Roger Beaman and Linda Beall, of Street, MD, and Alice Louise Beaman and Jerry McIntyre, of Aberdeen, MC; four siblings, Ossie Hutchins of Churchville, MD, Gelene Hausley of Havre de Grace, MC, Irene Kitts of Darlington, MD, and Franklin E. Edwards of Bel Air, MD; thirty one grandchildren, fifty five great-grandchildren, and fifteen great-great-grandchildren. I addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by son-in-law, Roby Crouse and a son, Richard Beaman. Services were held at Grandview Memorial Funeral Home, Sparta, NC on Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 3 p.m. with Rev. Ernest Smith officiating. Interment was in Zion Church Cemetery, Sparta, NC.
