Professional Football Player. For six seasons (1963 to 1968), he played at the defensive tackle position in the National Football League with the San Francisco 49ers, Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions. Born Charles Lee Sieminski, he attended Swoyersville High School in Pennsylvania where he achieved All-State status in football and basketball. He enrolled at Penn State University where he played collegiate football while working his way to earn a Bachelor of Science degree. He later received his Master of Science degree from the University of Scranton. During his years at Penn State, he experienced both the Gator Bowl and Liberty Bowl contests and achieved All-East and All-American honors. Selected by the San Francisco 49ers during the 4th round of the 1962 NFL Draft. he totaled 78 career regular season games. He had the distinction of being on the Atlanta Falcons' roster during their inaugural season of 1966. Additionally, held the distinction as being one of the largest players of his era at the stature of 6 feet, 5 inches and weighing 270 pounds. After retiring from football, he was a high school teacher and football coach in his native Pennsylvania. Additionally, he served in the United States Army Reserves. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame.
