St. Peter had another legend checking in last night. Gunnery Sergeant Jesse Nieto, the Marine, the myth the legend. He was a one of our USS COLE Gold Star Parents. Jesse was a GREAT man, a Brother in Arms, a friend, a second father figure, a key member of the team that goes to Guantanamo Bay for the USS COLE hearings and will be truly missed. It was one of Jesse's biggest concerns, that he would not see justice for his son Marc Nieto. Until Valhalla Brother.. (Joe Pelly)

I found out we lost a dear friend and Shipmate today. GYSGT Jesse Nieto was a Gold Star father, long time partner in attending the Terrorist trials in Guantanamo Bay Cuba for well over the last 10 years. He had no filter and would tell you like it is, hell what Marine wouldn’t. My prayers are with his family and friends as well as we mourn his loss. Sorry you could not see justice served Jesse. This picture is the last time he went down for the PRETRIAL hearing, January 2020. (James Parlier)
