Eliza Jane Crawford Bown, daughter of William and Letitia Crawford. According to census records, she was born about 1836 in Allegheny County, PA. Her parents and two older brothers having emigrated from Ireland about 1831 or 1832. They settled in Allegheny City (now Northside Pittsburgh).
