Here lieth the remains of
Lieut Thomas Dingwall Fordyce
of the Bengal Artillery
who departed this life 7th of January 1820
aged 28 years and 9 months.
"I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that he
shall stand at the last day upon the earth, and
though after my skin, worms destroy this body,
yet in my flesh shall I see God."
This memorial is erected by a disconsolate
widow, who laments the early death of an
affectionate husband and a faithful friend.
