Mrs. Mildred Irene Miles of Knifley passed from this life on Saturday, May 16, 2020 in Glasgow. Born in Tuscola, Illinois on October 20, 1936. Mrs. Miles was a retired unit secretary for the Mason District Hospital in Illinois. After retiring, she moved with her family to Kentucky, where she would spend the remainder of her years. She was the matriarch of a close knit and respected family, and the proudest mother and grandmother anyone could ask for. The genuine kindness and care she had for others was handed down her family line, and her legacy of goodwill will continue through them for generations. She leaves to cherish her memory: Her husband of 63 years: Mr. Everett Wayne Miles, Three children. One brother. Seven grandchildren. Thirteen great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends. There will be a funeral service to honor the life of Mrs. Miles on Thursday, May 21, 2020, at 6:00 PM EST (5:00 PM CST) in the chapel of the L.R. Petty Funeral Home, 1765 New Columbia Rd, Campbellsville, KY. Bro. Robert Layne officiating. Interment will be in the Lebanon National Cemetery, 20 Hwy 208, Lebanon, KY. Per the guidelines set forth by the Office of Governor Andy Beshear, in addition to a maximum of 50 persons in the chapel, current social distancing practices will remain in effect. Anyone wishing to remain Safer at Home may contact the funeral home by phone and a staff member will gladly note their name in the family register book.
