Grace Elizabeth Barnes, 98, a Bartlesville resident, died 1:48am Thursday in Jane Phillips Episcopal Memorial Medical Center.
Graveside funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday in McMain Cemetery east of Nowata under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home.
Mrs. Barnes was born on Oct. 14, 1895, at Ruby (Indian Territory) to Albartus and Laurena (Little) Reynolds. She received her education in a country school in Ruby. She married Walter E. Barnes in 1914 at Ruby and they made their home in Nowata County. She moved to Bartlesville in 1972 where she has continued to make her home. She was a cook for various restaurants in Nowata for several years. She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church in Nowata.
Survivors include a daughter, Genetta Hudiburg, of Bartlesville; a son, John Barnes of Bartlesville; a sister-in-law, Winifred Hundley, of Nowata; 14 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers, 4 sisters, 3 daughters & 2 sons.
