KDA was a USArmy Vietnam Veteran and had been a postal carrier in Derry for many years.
He belonged to the Kingston Club, the Derry Rod & Gun Club and the Derry F.O. E. #1612. He loved sports.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Harriet "June" Coppersmith Ankeny.
Surviving are his companion of many years Sue Bolen, his son Kenneth S. Ankeny (Dana) of Latrobe, his sister Fran Plessinger of Latrobe, his brothers William Ankeny of Latrobe and Robert Ankeny of Norvelt. His grandson Gavin of Latrobe, several nieces and nephews.
All services were private for the family.
