FRED WISEMAN, JR., 90, of Memphis, retired general contractor, died Friday, August 17, 2007 at home. Mr. Wiseman was born March 15, 1917 in Hickman, KY and was a life-long Memphian. He was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran, having served in Guam and Trinidad and retiring from US Naval Reserve after a 30- year-career. He was a communicant of Church of the Ascension. He volunteered building services as general contractor for construction of Saint Ann Bartlett Church and school. Mr. Wiseman was happily married to his devoted wife of 54 years, Rose Alexander Wiseman. He is survived by his wife, Rose; a daughter, Norma (Mike) Montesi of Memphis; a son, Gerald Wiseman of Memphis; and four grandchildren, Jennifer Montesi of Philadelphia, Lesley Montesi, Mike Montesi, and Sam Montesi all of Memphis. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Monday, August 20 at Church of the Ascension with the Rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral mass will be held at at 10 a.m., Tuesday, August 21 at the Church of the Ascension, with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
