Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, age 78, passed away peacefully July 19, 2007 at the St. George Red Cliffs Care Center. Donna was born to Beth and Maurice Warner Evans September 1, 1928. Beth and Maurice later divorced.
Along with an older brother, Gail, and younger twin siblings, Warner and Wanda, Donna grew up in several Utah towns including Manti, Bingham Canyon, Provo, Centerfield, and Lehi, to name a few. She and her siblings were adopted and raised by Ruben Wester Nielsen. A very kind and devoted father. She finished nurses training in 1949, and remained a devoted and dedicated nurse until her retirement in 1984. Donna married Billy L. Mangum April 15, 1950 in Elko, Nevada. The couple moved from Midvale to Cottonwood Heights in 1956 where they raised their three children, and remained until 1994, when they had both retired, and moved to Ivins, UT. She did her very best to be a mother, wife, community and church member, while still keeping up her nursing duties. She loved genealogy, archeology, nursing, and being a mother. She served four LDS missions along with her husband, Bill. Donna loved the study of her families history. She wrote a family history book, along with her son, about her great-grandfather Felt's legacy.
She is survived by her sister, Wanda (Waymon) Choate; and brother, Gail Nielsen; daughters, Patti (Mike) Reynolds, Valoy (Victor) Campbell; son, Eric (Rita); grandsons, Jason and Trevor; granddaughters, Tina, Selina, Nicole, Brittnie, and Megan; great-grandchildren, Menieve, Kanessa, Veronika, Bronx, Max, Ethan, and Billy Garth.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bill; parents; and brother, Warner.
