He formerly lived at 326 Jewell. He was a member of Assumption Catholic Church and Eagles Lodge No. 58. He formerly assisted in operating the Rohr Brothers Appliance Store and later operated the Park Inn.
He was married to Amelia M. Schiffelbein July 28, 1931. She died Feb. 2, 1965.
Survivors include a son, Jacob J. Rohr Jr., Park Forest, Ill.; two daughters, Marilyn Rohr, at home, and Mrs. Ruth Strecker, Salina; six brothers, Frank Rohr, Ness City, Tony Rohr, Great Bend, Richard Rohr, 1151 Mission, Rudy Rohr, Redwood City, Calif., John Rohr, Phoenix, Ariz., and Albert Rohr, Houston, Tex.; four sisters, Mrs. Rose Gabel and Clara Rohr, both of 1000 Kansas, Mrs. Aggie Dugdale, 1122 Jackson, and Sister Mary Alban Rohr, Wichita; and 11 grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Assumption Catholic Church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Mr. Rohr will lie in state from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Brennan Funeral Home where rosaries will be recited by the parish at 7:30 p.m. and by Daughters of Isabella at 8 p.m. today.
