Wanda Faye Evans, 81, passed away Saturday, May 9, 2020 in Winchester, KY. She was born August 28, 1938 to the late Artie and Mary Sloan Ross in Hazel Green, Kentucky. She was a devoted Christian and loved spending time with her daughters, grandchildren and other family members and friends. She was an avid Elvis Fan and enjoyed sewing and cooking. She was a member of Pleasant Valley Wesleyan Church in Dayton, OH. She is survived by seven daughters, fifteen grandchildren; and seventeen great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, James Robert Young; and one sister, Wilma Mehr. The family appreciate the staff and volunteers at Hospice East. They are professional, but most of all, the care and support they offered was a consolation. A private graveside service will be held at Machpelah Cemetery with Rev. John Birkhead and Rev. Hammer McGuire officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice East, In memory of Wanda Faye Evans, 407 Shoppers Drive, Winchester, KY 40391.
