Mary Wells Combs, 76, Hunting Creek Road, died at 8:02 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at her home of natural causes.
A memorial service will be at 2 this afternoon at Lamb Funeral Home with Chaplain Lloyd Tucker and Dr. Howard Simpson officiating. Burial will be at Johnson’s Chapel Church Cemetery.
A native of Christian County, she was born Sept. 30, 1936, the daughter of the late Christopher Columbus and Ethel Bell Wells. She had worked as a bookkeeper for Oscar Combs Construction.
A son, Clifton Combs, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a son, Steven Combs, Salem; a sister, Nannie Frances Brown, Hopkinsville; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
