Passed away Wednesday at Ben Hur Health and Rehab.

Daughter of Hans and Florence Mildred Thompson Olson.
Married Alvin E. Bowes. He preceded her in death 1999.
Survivors include sons Roger, Robert, Gary (Fe) and Craig (Debby) Bowes; daughter Nancy (Scott) Wheeler; daughter-in-law Nancy J. Bowes; grandchildren Chris, Brian, Jenny, Curt, Tony and Jordan Bowes, Matt and Kyle Wheeler, Lorann Dwyer, Josh Holder and Joe Langolf; several great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, brothers Wendell and Harland Olson, sister Mary Oswalt, sons Keith and Larry Bowes, and daughter-in-law Judy.

Attended school in Ottawa, and Serena High School.

Worked in the children’s department at J.C. Penney for over 20 years.

Long-time member of Crawfordsville First Church of the Nazarene, where she belonged to the missionary society and the women’s ministry.

She was an avid reader and liked to travel with a group of friends.

Family service 11am Monday, May 11 at Burkhart Funeral Home.
Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery North.

Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Association, Indianapolis, IN.

The family would also ask for special prayers for the residents and staff at the Ben Hur Home.
