Pearl Sampson, 95, of Ladysmith, died on Monday, Jan. 9, 2017 at Ladysmith Care Community.

Pearl was born on March 12, 1921 in Exeland to Frank and Blenda Hartz. She married Arthur Sampson in Exeland on Nov. 9, 1946. She has lived at Ladysmith Nursing Home since January 2009.

She was a member of Exeland Methodist Church.

Pearl is survived by her sons, Mike (Marcia), Carl (Lois) and Robert (Brenda), all of Exeland; her daughters Nancy Woods of Wilmington, Ohio and Cheryl (Lauren) Ladenthin of Exeland; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and her sister, Georgiana Wiegert of Chetek.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; her parents; her son, Art, Jr.; her granddaughter, Collett Sampson; her brothers Fred and Edward; and her sisters Edna, Violet and Alice.

Funeral services were held on Friday, Jan. 13 at Exeland Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Bartlett officiating. Burial was in Windfall Cemetery in Exeland.
