Phyllis Bream Betrothed to Harry D. Good

GARDNERS - The betrothal of Phyllis Louise Bream to Harry D. Good, Enola, has been announced by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Bream, RD1.

Miss Bream was graduated from Boiling Springs High School in 1969 and from Shippensburg State College in 1973. She is employed at Claremont Nursing Home.

Good is an employe (sic) of Carlisle Tire and Rubber.

No date has been set for the wedding.

Phyllis Bream, Harry Good Wed at Gardners Church

GARDNERS - Mount Victory United Methodist Church was the setting for the wedding of Phyllis Louise Bream and Harry David Good.

The Rev. Elwood Needy performed the double ring service at 1 p.m. April 6. Mrs. Laura Wagner, Latimore, was the organist.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. Bream, RD1.

She made her gown, crown headpiece and veil of hand-crocheted lace. This was styled with a wedding ring collar, long sleeves and slightly gathered skirt enhanced by white ribbon. Her veil fell below the waist. She carried a white Bible with white roses and baby's breath.

Mrs. Linda Oliphant, Carlisle, was her sister's matron of honor. Her gown was fashioned with a baby blue cotton crepe bodice, blue and white checked skirt, trimmed with blue ribbons. She carried carnations, roses, blue and yellow daisies.

For her daughter's wedding Mrs. Bream chose a dark pink resss (sic) and corsage of pink orchids.

David Oliphant, the bride's brother-in-law was best man. Ushers were Lyn Bream, the bride's cousin, and Harry Smith.

The reception was held in the church social hall. Guest book attendant was Miss Martha Marks.

The bride, a graduate of Boiling Springs High School and Shippensburg State College, is employed at the Cumberland County Nursing Home.

The bridegroom is an employe (sic) of Carlisle Tire and Rubber, Carlisle.

Mr. and Mrs. Good are living in Enola.

Harry "Red or Sonny" D. Good, 76, of Newville died Monday, September 8, 2014 at the Carlisle Regional Medical Center.

Born September 2, 1938 in Carlisle, he was a son of the late Harry and Anna Souders Beers Wright.

He retired from Valk Manufacturing and Carlisle Tire and Wheel. He served in the PA National Guard. He was formerly a Boy Scout Leader for Troop 174, Newville. He loved his pets and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Most of all he enjoyed the time he spent with his loving wife and family. He was a member of Oakville United Methodist, Oakville.

Surviving are his wife of forty-years, Phyllis L. Bream Good of Newville; two sons: David L. Good of Shermans Dale and Charles W. Good (and wife, Kristen) of Shippensburg; three daughters: Cindy L. Daley of Newville, Karen L. Sampson (and husband, Scott A.) of Walnut Bottom and Anna M. Keifer (and husband, Paul C, Sr.) of Newville; two brothers: Lanny L. Wright of Shermans Dale and Edward M. Wright of Newport; ten grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and six step great -grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc., 219 North Hanover Street, Carlisle with Rev. Roger Pond, Sr. officiating. A viewing will be held from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
