She died Friday, Feb. 26, 1999 at Harrisburg Hospital.
Born June 9, 1931 in Lambs Gap, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Shelly) Wright.
She was educated at the William Penn High School in Harrisburg.
She had worked for G.C. Murphy Co. in Lemoyne but was largely a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Frank L. Bixler; two sons, Frank L. Bixler Jr. and Kirk A. Bixler, both of Carlisle; three daughters, Karen E. Hoover of Dover, Janet E. Sideck of Camp Hill and Deborah J. Rush of Dover; three sisters, Pauline Bobb of Camp Hill, Marcella Waltman of Carlisle and Esther Knouse of Shippensburg; and eight grandchildren.
Mrs. Bixler was proceeded in death by one brother and seven sisters.
The Rev. David W. Gouak of the New Buffalo Missionary Alliance Church will officiate at services. Assisting will be the Rev. Jerry Wise of the Pine Glen Missionary Alliance Church. Interment will be made in Hunter's Valley Cemetery, RR 2, Liverpool.
Friends may call Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
