WATERBURY - Lucy Grohmann, 86, passed away April 3, 2020, at her home in Waterbury. She was the wife of the late Edward “Bud” Grohmann.
Born November 27, 1933, in Alberta Canada, the daughter of the late Julien and Lillian (Normondin) Champagne and the stepdaughter of the late Germaine Champagne.
She was a Breeder of German Shepherds and was a member of the New Haven German Shepherd Dog Club, where she served as Treasurer. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Naugatuck and loved animals and gardening.
She is survived by her sons Michael Sexton and his wife Sue and Leonard Sexton Jr. of Waterbury; her daughter Adelaide Dolan and her husband John of Naugatuck; six grandchildren; her nine great-grandchildren; her siblings Jeannine Goudreault and her husband Henry of Wolcott; Rita Brouillard and her husband Armond of Wolcott, Cecile Wasik and her husband Douglas of Southington, Leo Champagne and his wife Judy of Florida, and Gloria Albino of Wolcott; her sister-in-laws Joyce Wasserback and her husband Billy of Prospect, and Louise Martorelli of Waterbury. In addition to her parents, her step-mother, and her husband Bud, Mrs. Grohmann is predeceased by her son Andrew Sexton; her sister-in-law Arlene Gedraitis as well as her former husband Leonard Sexton.
Arrangements – Funeral service and burial will be held at a later date in All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury. There are no calling hours.
