Robert Harris Quarles, Sr. , 88, of Hemphill, Texas passed away Monday, May 4, 2020 at his residence.
Robert was born June 13, 1931 in Orange, Texas to Euell Edward Quarles and Sammie Harris. He served in the United States Army and served as a paratrooper with the 11th Airborne Division. Following his service Robert worked as a machinist in the oilfield.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Quarles of Hemphill; son, Ron Quarles of Hemphill; ten grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Robert H. Quarles, Jr.; and daughter, Rebecca Quarles Keith.
Graveside services will begin at 10:00 a.m. Wedensday, May 6, 2020 in Mt. Sinai Cemetery in Hemphill, Texas under the direction of Starr Funeral Home with Bro. Bo Owens officiating.
