ST. KILIAN RITE SET FOR MRS. HURTH

Mrs. Peter Hurth, 82, of St. Kilian, died at 4 p.m. Monday at her home of an apparent heart attack.

She was born in Lomira on Feb. 22, 1888, a daughter of John and Mary Schmitt Kraemer. The former Susan Kraemer was married to Peter Hurth at St. Mary’s Church in Lomira on Aug. 18, 1908.

After their marriage they farmed in the St. Kilian area, retiring in 1948 and moving to St. Kilian. Mrs. Hurth was a member of Holy Mar Ladies Sodality of St. Kilian Church and Catholic Knights of Wisconsin.

The couple celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in 1968.

Survivors include her widower, five daughters, Mrs. Mary Dietenberger of Hartford, Mrs. Joseph Batzler and Mrs. Renold Bonlender, both of St. Kilian, Mrs. Reinhold Boegel of Allenton and Mrs. Ralph Kern of Kewaskum; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Theresa Hurth of Stanley; and one brother, Joseph Kraemer of Juneau.

Mrs. Hurth was preceded in death by one son in infancy and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 9:45 a.m. Friday at Miller [‘s Funeral Home, Kewaskum and at 10:30 a.m. at St. Kilian’[s Church. The Rev. Anthony Zukaitis will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
