BELLECHESTER -- A Mass of Christian burial will be offered for Peter Delva at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Bellechester, with the Rev. Frank Wampach officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Mr. Delva, 92, of rural Bellechester and a lifelong Chester Township resident, died Wednesday morning (Oct. 7, 1992) at his farm home. Born Jan. 1, 1900, on the family farm in Chester Township, Wabasha County, he lived and farmed there all his life. The farm is a Century Farm. On Oct. 10, 1923, he married Martha Hofschulte in Hammond. She died April 30, 1992. Survivors include a son, Merle of Kasson; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Eileen Engels of Sun City, Ariz.; 13 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren. Four brothers and five sisters preceded him in death. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at Larson Funeral Home in Zumbrota and an hour before the service Saturday at the church. There will be a prayer service at 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home
