Margaret Geraldine Harrison born April 29, 1929 joined Our Heavenly Father in eternal rest on Sunday April 26, 2020 at 2:36 P.M.
Margaret was an active member, daily communicant, lector, Eucharistic Minister, Rosary leader, and Sacristan at Saint Mary’s Cathedral in Austin for 45 years where she received the Lumen award. Her service there included work in St Vince De Paul and ministry to the homebound. She frequently bought meals to the priests where her chicken and spaghetti was a favorite. She washed and maintained the church’s linens, and often sewed the Baptismal garments for the Catechumenate at Easter, altar cloths and vestments for the priests that she loved dearly.

Margaret is predeceased by her husband Charles Ellis Harrison, and her children: John Anthony Harrison, Mary Kate Zimmerman and Christopher James Harrison. She is survived by her Sister Mary Ellen Guinn and children Charles Gerard Harrison, Sr Theresa Margaret OCD, Thomas Patrick Harrison, Joseph William Harrison, Helen Theresa Harrison-Markow, Francis Michael Harrison, Mary Elizabeth Freehill, twenty-four grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.

She was a devoted daughter, sister and mother for her nearly 91 years. She will be missed.

Funeral Service will be held Friday, May 1, 2020 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Rose de Lime Catholic Church, Andice, Texas with interment at Assumption Cemetery, Austin, Texas. The latest coronavirus orders from the Governor will be in effect with social distancing.
