Gladys M. Barbee, 95, of Elkhart, passed away on Sunday, March 29, 2020 at East Lake Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Gladys was born on September 13, 1924 in Salt Lick, KY to John and Nancy (Hawkins) Harper. She was married to J.L. Barbee, on Sept. 21, 1938 in Moorefield, KY.

She is preceded in death by her husband J.L. on March 6, 2006; and her children, Shirley, Sandra Darrell and JC.

Gladys is survived by children, Donald (Shirley J.) Barbee of Elkhart, Judy Tidwell of Savannah, TN, Candy (Kim) Butt of Phoenix, AZ and Penny Matlock of Goshen, IN; a brother, Kenneth (Vivian) Harper of Winchester, KY; 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Gladys was employed at Miles Laboratory and Ball Band. She enjoyed playing Bingo, card games and board games with her family and friends. Most of all, Gladys loved having family get togethers.

Per her family's request, there will be no services.
