Lonnie Joe White, a resident of Kenefic, Oklahoma, left this life in Sherman, Texas, on Friday July 27th, 2018 at the age of 69. He was born in Durant, Oklahoma to Johnnie David and Nell Marie (Courtney) White. Lonnie married Linda Tapia on May 1st, 1978.
Lonnie was an avid outdoorsman who loved to go hunting and fishing. He attended the Kenefic Baptist Church and was a welder, crusher operator by trade.
Mr. White is survived by his beloved wife, Linda of the home; son, Kevin White of Durant, Oklahoma; granddaughters, Courtney White of Durant, Oklahoma and Cassidy White of Las Vegas, Nevada; and sisters, Kathy Whitmire of Kenefic, Oklahoma and Brenda Vidal of Mead, Oklahoma.
Mr. White was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie and Nell White; brother, Donald White; and step-daughter, Sandra Ketelson.
Family hour will be from 6-7:00 PM on Monday July 30th at the Holmes~Coffey~Murray Funeral Home in Durant, Oklahoma. A church service will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday July 31st at the Kenefic Baptist Church with Tom England officiating. Burial will follow at the Center Hill Cemetery in Kenefic, Oklahoma with Jimmy Tadlock, William Bow, Dusty Rhodes, Billy Lambert, Bobbie Cooper, and Kenny Cooper serving as pallbearers.
