Roy Leslie Blackwell, 80, of Inman, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 17, 2016, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home
A native of Spartanburg County; son of the late Fred and Dovie Hutchins Blackwell, Sr.; husband of Evelyn Martin Blackwell.
A retired carpenter and member of Alverson Grove Baptist Church.
Also survived by sons, Charles Blackwell (Suzanne) and Ricky Blackwell (Angie); daughters, Debbie Blackwell Foy (Danny), Kaye Blackwell, Freida Blackwell Smith (Jeff); brothers, Henry Blackwell, Carl Blackwell, Fred Blackwell, Jr., and Sam Blackwell; sisters, Beulah Mae Blackwell Arledge and Estelle Blackwell Gowan; eighteen grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by a son, Dean Blackwell.
Visitation was held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Eggers Funeral Home of Boiling Springs.
Funeral services conducted at 3:00 pm, Friday, April 22, 2016, at Alverson Grove Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Curtis Daniel. Interment was in the Church Cemetery.
