Sheila Jean Dixon, age 71 years, of Whitley City, Kentucky died Monday, April 20, 2020 at her home.
She was born in Barthell, Kentucky on October 17, 1948 the daughter of Willie and Juanita (Roysden) Strunk. Sheila had worked in the Shirt Factory as a machine operator, was a member of the East Appletree United Baptist Church, and loved fishing, flowers, and her family, especially her grandchildren.
Her parents; husband, Billy Ray Dixon; daughter, Stephanie Dixon; brothers, Winfred Strunk and Kenny Strunk; and sister, Mary Lou Morgan precede her in death.
Survivors include her sons, Tim Dixon (Kathy) and Jerry Dixon (Lindsay) both of Stearns; brothers, Roger Strunk (Ivis Jeaneth) of Honduras and Allen Strunk of Whitley City; sisters, Donna Coffey, Betty Stephens, and Lillian Stephens all of Whitley City, and Linda Goodman of Oneida, Tennessee; grandchildren, Jeremiah Dixon (Lora), Willie Dixon, Katelynn Dixon, and Ashley Dixon; great grandchild, Paisley Dixon; and special friends, Janice Walker (Steve Carter), Tony Lowe (Shelda), James Loudermilk (Kilafay), and Carl and Arlene Jones.
Per the Governor’s request, Private funeral services will be held. Burial will be in the Sherd Dobbs Cemetery.
