James Forest Loudermilk, age 77 years, of Whitley City died Wednesday, April 22, 2020 at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital in Somerset, Kentucky.
He was born in Whitley City, Kentucky on January 7, 1943 the son of Ledford and Pearl (Murphy) Loudermilk. Jim was a member of the New Liberty United Baptist Church, and had been a truck driver for the McCreary County Road Department. He loved to fish and trade knives and guns, but his greatest joy was he loved the Lord, and enjoyed talking about Him to others.
His parents; son, James F. Loudermilk, Jr.; brothers, Willis Loudermilk, Melvin Loudermilk, Jake Loudermilk, Marvin Loudermilk, Clarence Loudermilk, and Clayton Loudermilk; and sisters, Peggy Joyce Loudermilk, Tava Loudermilk, Glenna Smith-Jones, Mary Lou Vance, and Wanda Trammell precede him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Kilafay (McCullah) Loudermilk; sister, Nora Dean Trammell of Indiana; grandchildren, Ashley Loudermilk of Frisco, Texas and John Loudermilk of Pine Knot; and a great grandchild, CJ Martin of Frisco, Texas.
Per the Governor’s request, a private funeral service will be held with Bro. Dow Goodin and Bro. Ray Sumner officiating. Burial will be in the Taylor Ridge Cemetery.
