Clearfield, Utah Gerald Ferron Heaton, 86, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born February 12, 1921 in Provo the son of Alvin Franklin Heaton Jr. and Bernice Hindmarsch Heaton. Gerald married Edda Frances Johnson on June 5, 1944. Their marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Temple. She preceded him in death on December 13, 1994. He married Ann Brinkerhoff Blair on May 10, 1997 in Clearfield. He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II. Gerald has been a resident of Clearfield for 60 years and worked for the Clearfield City Council and as an electrician. He was a member of the LDS Church and had served in the Stake Genealogy and church librarian. Gerald loved traveling, museums, cars and music. He was an excellent singer, jack of all trades, and built his home and cabin. Surviving are his wife Ann Heaton, Clearfield; sons Ronald (Marilyn) Heaton, Paul Heaton, daughters, Geraldine (Steven) Cottrell, Lynda Stevenson, Bonnie Heaton, Darla (Phillip) Shoell, step-sons Lynn (Rose) Blair, Max (Sharon) Blair, Carl (Marilyn) Blair, step-daughters, Anneta (Kim) Choate, Zella (Blair) Johnson, 40 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, two sisters, Helen Beck and Mary Allen. Preceded in death by his wife Edda, parents, brother Ronald Alvin Heaton, half-sisters Rheta Wensel and Theora LaRae Carrillo. Graveside services will be held Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 2 p.m. at Provo City Cemetery, 610 South State Street. Funeral directors, Lindquist's Clearfield Mortuary, 1050 South State Street.
