Princess Mariam Tsitsishvili was the daughter of Prince Giorgi Tsitsishvili, and the second wife of George XII, then heir apparent to the Georgian throne. They were married her on July 13, 1783 after the death of his first wife, Princess Ketevan Andronikashvili (1754–1782).
