James Granville McManus, age 79, of Bakersfield, California entered eternal rest on Wednesday April 15, 2020. James was born November 5, 1940 in St. Louis, Missouri to parents, Michael and Gladys McManus.

James family moved to Bakersfield, California in 1943. He attended St. Francis High School, Sacramento State and earned a masters at Cal Poly San Luis. He loved to golf, bike ride and spending time with his family. He worked as a School Counselor at Bakersfield High School for 30 years,

Our father worked hard to provide for his family. He loved his grandchildren and the time spent with them. His biggest accomplishment was the business he built with his wife, Barbara called T.A.A.S.K. The most fondest memories of James is traveling with his family in a van in the Summer. They would drive from California to Canada.

During this time of COVID-19 pandemic families are unable to have Celebration of Life's for their loved ones. In light of this we can give our condolences and memories online so that families can read your words and feel your love.
