David A Schwartz passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 12, 2020. David is survived by his loving wife Mary, children David J. (Anne) and Michael, and step-children Joyce Clouthier, and Brian (Hope) McGookey. He is predeceased by his college sweetheart and first wife Dorothy, daughter Carol (Jon Lee), step-daughter Ann McGookey, brother Mark and sister Mary Jo. He is also well loved and survived by 15 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.

David was born in Owosso, MI on May 20, 1928 the third child to Joseph and George Ann (nee Anderson) Schwartz.

Dave attended Gesu Catholic School, the University of Detroit High School, and then graduated with a degree in engineering from the University of Detroit in 1951. Immediately upon graduation he applied for officer candidate school in the US Navy, and was accepted into the US Naval Corp of Engineers.

He was filled with love for the Lord, and is now given into His care.

Immediate burial will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, MI, and a memorial mass will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Our Lady Queen of Martyrs Catholic Church, Birmingham MI.
