Jerry Wayne Pinkerton, 72, of Wanatah, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 14, 2020. He was born February 18, 1948, in La Porte to Earl A. and Edith I. (Ailes) Pinkerton, and served proudly with the U. S. Army. Jerry worked as a Die Setter with Kaiser Aluminum for 32 years while also managing the family farm and the cadre of red and green tractors that were subject to his care over the decades.
Survivors include his daughter, Tammy Clark (Tim) of North Judson, significant other, Michelle Haney of Wanatah; sister, Ruth Ann Schumacher (Michael) of San Pierre; grandchildren, Ariel Bessler, Emily Clark, and Payton Clark, and great-grandson, James. He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Pinkerton, on October 6, 2019, and sisters, Diana and Helen.
A private family service will be held at Wanatah Funeral Chapel with burial following at Graceland Cemetery in Valparaiso.
