Sabre Humphrey Lamb, age 81, of Vidalia, died Tuesday, April 14, 2020, at her home after an extended illness. She was born to Queen Blaxton several years before Queen's marriage to Johnnie Humphrey. She was a native of Treutlen County and lived there until moving to Vidalia in 1960. She was employed at McDonald’s in Vidalia from opening day and retired as manager in 1991. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Lyons and was a former member of the Church of the Nazarene in Vidalia most of her life. She enjoyed multiple crafts, gardening and most of all being a “Granny”. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey J. Lamb; her son, Randy Lamb; mother, Queen Blaxton Humphrey; step-father, Johnny Humphrey; a sister, Faye Spivey; and a brother, William Humphrey.

Mrs. Lamb is survived by one daughter, Deborah Lamb Pittman and husband Daniel of Vidalia; one sister, Bobbie Jean Powell and husband “Jr.” of the Gray’s Landing Community; three grandchildren, Colby Lamb of Statesboro, Katie Lamb Medders and husband Blake of Hazlehurst and William “KiKe” Martinez of Atlanta; two great-grandchildren, Ellie Medders and Kase Medders of Hazlehurst; and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral service will be held Friday, April 17th, at 3:00 p.m. in Lakeview Memorial Gardens with Pastor Michael Plowman and Daniel Pittman officiating.

The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 2:00 until just prior to the service.
